About Oasis of Hollywood

Since 1979, Oasis of Hollywood has been a Haven of Hope where children, teens, and families encounter Jesus and receive the practical support they need to thrive.

Through consistent outreach, discipleship, and life-giving community, we are empowering generations to follow Jesus and transform Hollywood.

Our History & Origin

The story of Oasis of Hollywood began in 1968 when Judy met Charles McPheeters on a mission trip to Hollywood, California. After marrying, they dedicated their lives to evangelism, youth ministry, and outreach & discipleship. While youth pastoring in Denver, Charles & Judy started "The Holy Ghost Repair Service." Their mission was to "repair broken lives in the power of the Holy Spirit", which they did through The Planet Jerusalem Coffeehouse, Counseling Center and Bookstore, and through a men’s and women’s discipleship home.

After welcoming two children, Melissa & Michael, attending Christ For The Nations, and youth pastoring in Florida, Charles & Judy returned to Hollywood, CA. in 1979. They began ministering on the streets, launched a Bible study and bookstore, and opened the House of Magdalene—a safe home where women escaping trafficking found hope, healing, and a new future in Christ.

Following Charles' passing from cancer in 1982, Judy sought God's direction and felt called to continue the ministry He had entrusted to them-- this time with a specific focus on reaching children, teens, and families. Stepping out in faith despite overwhelming uncertainty, she carried the mission forward. In 1985, God brought Ron Radachy into the ministry, and after marrying in 1986, Ron and Judy have faithfully co-led Oasis together, sharing the Gospel and equipping thousands to effectively reach others for Christ. In 1995, the Holy Ghost Repair Service changed its name to Oasis of Hollywood.

Who We Are Today

Following the vision God gave Judy to reach kids with the Gospel, Oasis launched Kidz Klub, an after-school ministry for underserved children, followed by Oasis Youth to continue investing in students as they grew. Today, Oasis of Hollywood serves as a Haven of Hope for families through weekly children's and youth programs, special events, Summer camps, grocery outreaches, mission trips, and evangelism training. Almost five decades later, the ministry continues to encourage hope, inspire faith, and develop potential—one child, one family, and one life at a time.

As of 2026, Ron and Judy continue to faithfully serve Oasis of Hollywood in an executive leadership capacity while intentionally investing in the next generation of ministry leadership. Together, they are mentoring and empowering Program Directors Mynor (a product of the Oasis ministry- giving his life to Jesus at 8 years old in Kidz Klub) and Kadee Rosales to carry the vision forward, ensuring that the mission remains strong for generations to come.

Together, we are building on a legacy of faith—empowering generations to follow Jesus.
